Hoofbeats echoed through the streets of the Crystal Empire, mostly deserted in the eerie twilight. Frustrated tears streaming from her eyes, a pale pink mare in armor galloped away from the central palace as fast as her hooves could carry her.
Although she could feel Sombra’s grip fading, Callie still tried to put as much distance between herself and her family as possible. Her attacks seemed to be growing more frequent, and stronger, and that scared her. This time, she had scared her younger sister Rosie nearly to death. Callie shuddered to think what might have happened if Laramir hadn’t been there.
